All of our preschool teachers hold a college degree and have early childhood classroom experience. We strive to provide high quality educational programming at Western Branch Academy.

Rosalyn Briales has been an educator for over 25 years. She earned her CDA in 2013 from TCC. She is working towards completing her Associate of Applied Science: Early Childhood Development at TCC. Miss Rosalyn loves working with children! This is her fourth year here at WBA

Emily was born and raised in Hampton Roads. She is enrolled at TCC for her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development. She has 4 years of childcare experience from infancy to 5 years old. She is also a new military wife, and she has a chunky golden retriever named Oakley. She can’t wait to learn and grow with all of your children!

Amanda Hibbard was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. She joined the Navy in 2009 and traveled to many countries on deployment. In 2016,deciding the military life was no longer what she wanted, she chose a career path in Early Childhood Education. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently working to earn her Bachelor's in ECE at Regent University. She has a daughter, two dogs, four cats and a bearded dragon!

Sandy has over 7 years experience working with young children, including lead Teacher positions at several Hampton Roads schools where she taught infant to Pre-K. She has a CDA in Preschool earned in 2018. She is happily married with 2 sons & enjoys the gym, walking, biking & spending time with her family. She loves working with children & preparing them for their future.

Holly Silcott has been working with children for more than 30 years. She holds an associates degree in education with a focus on psychology. Over the years she has worked with children from infancy to high school. She has been happily married for 21 years and has two beautiful daughters. She is very excited to be beginning her first year with WBA.

Heather is originally from New Orleans, LA and has been living in Norfolk, VA for a little over three years. She has received her CDA in 2022 from TCC and has 6 years of childcare experience focusing in early childhood ages. She has a dog, Cookie, and three cats, Gracie, Oliver, and Tuck.

Yvonne currently has a Child Development Associate certifcate. She is currently enrolled for her bachelor's degree. Miss Yvonne loves reading, traveling, makeup and shopping. Her commitment is to provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing enviroment while modeling positve interactions,instilling self-esteem and a respect for all. She is excited to be a part of the WBA family!
