Cynthia Zerr, Director
Cindy Zerr has extensive background/ experience in management in Early Childhood Education. Cindy Zerr has an Associate’s in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor’s in Social Work and a Master's in Early Childhood Education. She has been a Director for the past fourteen years and has been in the field of early childhood for over thirty years.

Teachers makes a huge impact on the lives of young children and their families.  ​We strive to be a team-oriented environment that encourages professional development in one another while building strong relationships with one another.  All of our preschool teachers hold a college degree and have early childhood classroom experience.  We strive to provide high quality educational programming at Western Branch Academy.

Samantha Kreiter- PK 4 Teacher
Emily Onhaizer graduated with an Associate's Degree in Social Sciences from Tidewater Community College. She is currently working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Education at Old Dominion University. This will be her second year at WBA. She is excited to be teaching one of our PK 3 classes this year!

Victoria Nelson graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education PK-6. Her experience includes several years of working as a nanny and student teaching in the Chesapeake, Suffolk, and Norfolk school systems. This will be her first year teaching, and she is very excited to be joining the WBA team!

Juliet Wilson, PK 2 T/Th and PK 3 M/W/F Teacher
​Juliet Wilson has been at Western Branch Academy for the past six years.  She is currently working towards her Associate's Degree from Tidewater Community College.  She has a daughter and is an active volunteer with the Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast. 
Ashley Hankerson graduated from Walden University with a Master’s of Science Degree in Early Childhood Studies, specializing in Administration, Management, and Leadership. She has 10 years’ experience, including a local Head Start Program where she was the Center Coordinator. She is the mother of one son and is excited to be working with the staff and families here at WBA!

Samantha Kreiter graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor's of Science in Child Development and family studies with a concentration in birth to Pre-K. She is Certified in Toddler Education and Early Childhood Development. She is currently working towards obtaining her Masters Degree. This will be her second year as a teacher with WBA. 
Carol Beaver has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's in Elementary Education. She has extensive teaching experience in the public school system and taught for 1 year at Green Acres Preschool. Her experience with young children make her a great asset to our teaching team. 
Jennifer White graduated from Tidewater Community College with an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is studying for her Bachelor's Degree at Old Dominion University. She is also an avid volunteer in the community and at her church. She is excited to be teaching PK 2 at WBA this year!
​Stacey Goode graduated from Tidewater Community College with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration with a Early Childhood Development certificate. Her experience includes owning her own home daycare and volunteering in the public schools. This will be Stacey's fifth year at WBA. She is excited to bring her enthusiasm and creativity to the Kindergarten Class at WBA!

Miss Nikki graduated from Longwood University with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. She has worked in childcare for four years. Miss Nikki is currently helping to start a youth hurling program. This is her first year teaching at WBA and we are very glad to have her.
